Haiti Under Martelly – The Risk Of Ungovernability Is High- What I Think

The Foreigners ( The Bad ones) especially many of off U.S. country and their policies toward Haiti, many of so called humanitarian aids from the U.S. that’s what I have always been worried about the most when it comes to have a new Haitian president, but I doubt that any of the 19 ALL-DIASPORA candidates in the last Haiti election feel comfortable to talk on this subject, except when they have to say the good things about the foreign people work, whereas, it is the true they must come publicly and stating and that’s when Haiti will start moving to a better direction.

I don’t see how a nation with people and even their candidates, government are more interesting in pleasing another nation will be able to moving to better and normal life.

Moreover, I am very skeptic, and fill with ominous when thinking of Haiti in term of foreign rights vs the Haitian people rights in their own land, and until I hear what the new Haitian government think on this subject and what they will do about that then I will determine the future of Haiti and my future as Haitian who do want to be a U.S. citizen.

Haitians all but 1% probably want or became citizen of other country, presumably the country that destroyed their country..They know it, they see it, and hear it all the times, but pretending it’s not there.

Haitian people who are enjoy the so-called DIASPORA, and especially those who become or want to be U.S. citizens are not comfortable challenging the true trouble, and Human Rights abusive against Haiti or Haitian people.

But, when it comes to challenge other Haitian people, especially when talking about Haitian government corruption, for example, Jean Bertrand Aristide,  they bark louder then a dog even if they do not know if what they say it’s true.

But, the true about the condition of Haiti, the crimes against Haitians in Haiti or abroad we all  who living abroad can experience the true.  And if they did not pretend we do not see, we all would have spoken in the same tone whenever  we are online or somewhere in person.

US joins China, Cuba on list of nations jailing journalists- archives documents

NEW YORK–China and Cuba were the world’s leading jailers of journalists in 2005, while the United States was listed among the top 10 for the first time, placing it on a par with Burma.

The annual list compiled by the watchdog Committee for the Protection of Journalists (CPJ) named 125 editors, writers, and photojournalists imprisoned around the world as of December 1.

China topped the list with 32 journalists in custody, followed by Cuba with 24. The African nations of Eritrea and Ethiopia came next with 15 and 13 respectively.

The United States, which is holding five journalists in detention centres in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, rose to sixth place, just behind Uzbekistan and tied with Burma.

“Anti-state” allegations, including subversion, divulging state secrets, and acting against the interests of the state, were the most common charges used to imprison journalists world-wide, accounting for 78 cases.

“We’re particularly troubled that the list of the worst abusers now includes Ethiopia and the United States,” CPJ Executive Director Ann Cooper said.

“Journalists covering conflict, unrest, corruption, and human rights abuses face a growing risk of incarceration in many countries, where governments seek to disguise their repressive acts as legitimate legal processes.”

A sudden and widespread crackdown on the Ethiopian press this fall fuelled an increase in the number of journalists jailed world-wide, which was up from 122 in 2004.

The number of countries imprisoning journalists increased from 20 to 24 over the same period.

China topped the 2005 list for the seventh consecutive year. Fifteen, or nearly half of the cases in China involved Internet journalists.
